Years ago, i took my first steps in homerecording.
One of the first projects i worked on, was Downward. Together with Johnny Van Rompu (vocals) we decided to work on this thing. We agreed to go death/thrash and we started to cook up some stuff.
Johnny wrote the lyrics and i was the one creating the songs.

Although we never met in real life, there was a kind of chemistry going on.

Our Downward online-project was shortlived, though. Through circumstances, we didn't finish what we started.
Johnny decided to keep the name alive and is now working on new material with the real-life Downward.

Through this project, i discovered what i was able to do with my musical ideas and started Humanity Defiled. So, in the end, Downward wasn't a wasted effort at all.

You'll certainly hear flaws, of course. I was still discovering the homerecording business back then, haha.

The only track with Johnnys voice, is the first track. All the other ones are instrumentals. But don't let that bother you.

The recordings aren't remixed or even mastered. So you'll get a taste of the crude pre-Humanity Defiled phase.

The diehard fan will recognize something familiar in track #8.
